COURSE DESCRIPTION

PMP is the most prestigious credential in project management world. It has been claimed by PMI that more than 1M professionals carry this designation. The PMP exam itself is the most difficult exam I have ever had. Not because of the complexity of the knowledge but the English literature been using in this exam which is too difficult for a non-English speaker.

Getting PMP is a project itself:

You think about it (feasibility study), do some calculation if it worth it or not (EMV), you decide about it and sign up for this class and let the teacher lead (sign a project Charter). Teacher plan for the class (PMP) and describe the big picture for you (Milestone list) and when you agree with class will start (Kick-off). Teacher defines with she will do and what she will not. (Scope statement)
Class starts with many students who do not know each other but the teacher (acquire team) and teacher start with defining goals and objectives (Team building). There might be many confusions during the class (ambiguity) between students and teacher as well that needs teachers experience and problem-solving skills (PM leadership and team management).

After participating in all sessions (Schedule management) with all supports from teacher (motivation) you are knowledgeable enough (Verify) that matches the teacher’s expectation (Quality management). Now you are ready for the exam (Scope validation). Result will show how successful was this class (closing).

Why should I take this difficult exam?

• It is worth it financially and will be paid off soon by getting raised.
• It is worth it educationally and you will feel the difference in your management career.
• It is worth it logically because it is mandatory in most of managerial positions.
• It is worth it communication wise as it enriches the skill and make it more effective.

Road to PMP:

• It has two phases:

  • Getting the eligibility by spending minimum 35 hours for an official training under a certified PMP designation holder
